Music Notes for September
I’m excited to be back at school to work with your children in music class. My goal is for each child to develop concepts and skills for a lifetime enjoyment of music. In each music class, the children sing, play instruments, dance, create, and listen to music by famous composers. As your child comes home from school on their music day, ask him or her to share some of the songs, poems and dances with you.
Students in 4th and 5th graders typically have a short homework assignment each week. Encourage your child to have homework completed and ready to bring back to class.
Our Taylor Mill Chorus will meet for the first time on Thursday, Sept. 3rd from 3:30-4:30. This is a non audition, voluntary ensemble. The Chorus will be singing on Tue. Sept 15th for the first PTA meeting of the year. I look forward to working with the chorus students each week. The forms for joining chorus were sent home this week in the take home folders. Return forms to homeroom teachers as soon as possible.
Thank you for your support of the arts!
